Search Engines Submission

Submitting my site to the 3 main search engines was on my agenda today. I aready submitted my site to Google but still needed to submit my site to the other two main search engines.

Follow these simple steps for submitting your site to Yahoo and MSN by doing a Google search for each of the following:.......

Yahoo submit URL
MSN submit URL
Google submit URL (if you haven't already done this one)

I accomplished this by doing a search for each one and that took me to their site, I filled in my URL and site feed (which you will find in your setting area of your dashboard). I'll be checking in to see how long this takes.........updating to report the results were fast!!!

Hi,

I just visited your blog and noticed that you have google ads at the bottom of every post of your blog. I don't know if you have done something similar to this post:
For ads after each post, where to paste the codes
but if you have, then theoretically, you have put an ad unit at the bottom of every post on your main page, which is more than 3. Only thing is, Adsense detect that and display only 3 and the rest are suppressed, which I think is perfectly OK with all of us.

However, I have read of many getting their account suspended without specific reason being given for the suspension, and this has made me cautious. I have written to Adsense Help (more than once), and the answer they gave is non-specific, just that the TOS state a max of 3 ad unit per page.

Being extra cautious, I have thus removed that from my blog, and moved the ad to a leaderboard just below the header.

Just a head up.

Peter,

Thanks for your concern......I really appreciate it!

My ads are only at the bottom of my last three posts (468 X 60 banner counts as one ad unit), where do you see more than three?

This comes from the Google AdSense Help Center
Maximize ad space with multiple ad units.....

Multiple ad units can help optimize your performance by leveraging our large inventory of ads. You can place up to three ad units per page (in addition to one link unit and one referral button per product). Remember that the best way to measure the effect of multiple ad units is to examine the impact on your overall earnings. Multiple ad units may prove particularly successful for:

* Pages with lots of text, requiring users to scroll down the page.

Update on AdSense ads........

I was concered after Peter brought this to my attention (see above).

I have contacted adsense-support to get an answer and I'm posting the results here:

Hello Sherry,

Thanks for emailing us about our policies.

I've reviewed your website and found the number of Google ads displayed to be in accordance with our program policies. On any given page, you're welcome to place up to:

- three standard ad units
- one link unit
- two search boxes
- four referral units for different products

For additional questions, I'd encourage you to visit the AdSense Help Center (http://www.google.com/adsense_help), our complete resource center for all AdSense topics. Alternatively, feel free to post your question on the forum just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group (http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help).

I hope you find this information helpful.

Sincerely,

Lillian

Yes you do have to be careful of this. I think a lot of people are not aware of this policy.

I'm a newbie to AdSense, and after reading this page, I'm afraid I might have too many ads.

Would you mind having a look at my blog? http://americaninsingapore.blogspot.com/

I put a Google Search on my site, but I've tried searching words on my site, and never get any results. Maybe you can see what I've done wrong.

Thanks very much for any info you can share with me!

Diana,

I took a look at your site, and maybe you could take off the code for your AdSense and start all over again by using this method of ads after the first 3 posts. This will explain exactly where to place the code for this method .

http://bloggerfordummies.blogspot.com/2006/03/for-ads-after-each-post-where-to-paste.html

You could also do 1 link banner at the top of your page.

Remember to never click on your own ads and I think this would also include search, Please read policies again.

I really appreciate your taking the time to check my blog. As you can tell, I don't know what I'm doing! However, I don't want to get banned due to my ignorance. I will heed your suggestions.

Thanks again for your help, and for the fun comments on my blog.
